Hello, Crafty Maven’s!! It’s Hump day! Yay!! I have two videos to share with you today, one of them from me! I stepped in for Hannah at the last minute, so my layout doesn’t exactly go along with the inspiration pieces as mush as it could’ve, but it works out ok.

Hi, Crafty Maven’s!! I hope you’re all having a great scrappy week!!

After watching Tina’s video please don’t leave! Teresa also made a layout this week and I just LOVE how it turned out! I really like the 8.5×11 size of scrapbook layouts, but I’m not sure I could ever work with such a small space!

Scraplift Saturday: DeAnna Scraps and TinaGale

Aloha Scrappers! Yay, It is the weekend!!! I love the weekend, we can relax. I can scrap all day sometimes!! This makes me happy. I also get to binge watch Youtube!! That makes me even more happy. I find so much inspiration on Youtube. And if I am scrapping I feel like I get to scrap with my friends even though they are miles away.

Today on The Crafty Maven Getaway DeAnna Scraps and TinaGale worked together to scrap lift a layout by Mari Clarke. The original layout by Mari has circles and banners, and is gorgeous.

DeAnna started the month off with a kit she made with her stash that was inspired by the inspiration pieces. When she started her layout she had to balance for her using this kit and being inspired by the layout by Mari. She went with her gut, and I love this. There are many times when we are inspired by so much and we need to learn how to not be distracted by all this inspiration. As good as inspiration is in the end we want our layouts to tell our stories and be us. Sometimes we need to set the inspiration aside and go with our gut. This is what she did, and I am glad she did. Her final layout tried out fabulous!! I love the detail in it, with the metallic texture paste. The circle elements in clusters and the layers banners. TineGale has also used Mari’s layout as well. I love TinaGale’s take. All the details on her page are amazing. I love the cut file she used. Seeing the background peeking through all the circles! All the layers and bits really tie together the layout too. I think the tiny tile alphas for the title work so well with the playfulness of her layout. You can watch her process video here. Twerk It Thursday: TinaGale and Katty

Aloha Scrappers!! We are stepping it up a notch this month and giving you three days a week where we post 2 videos. I hope you are enjoying all the different styles and inspiration we are trying to provide for you, I know I have been floored away by the talent and inspiration this past month and look forward all the new and cool things I will see this month.

Today TineGale and Katty Mirranda take on a sketch. I love how the difference in their styles makes it really hard to even see that they used the same sketch. They were both true to their own style and both made lovely layouts!!

TinaGale used a really cool triangle cut file on her layout. I love how the cut out pieces show the patterns of the striped paper but also the plain white cardstock as well. the use of different patterns with the strips of paper add a fun busyness with restraint as well. I love the splatters of spray mist to finish the layout. This layout turned out great. to see her video on the channel click here. Here are some photos of her layout as well. Our second poster for today is Katty Mirranda, She is a little newer to the YT scene but super talented. I love how she isn’t afraid to experiment and try new things. Katty took on this sketch like a pro, using bright colors and a little mixed media. I love how she used a stencil to incorporate the triangle element into her layout. The banners are a fun twist on the layout too. I love how she added vellum banners with the patterned papers for more interest. She has so many textures but they all work together to bring this layout together and bring focus to her photo. You can check out her process video on The Crafty Maven Getaway channel, here. Happy Saturday Scrappers!!!

Today we have another double dose of scrappy goodness!! Both Ladies are scrap lifting!! Which is looking at an already completed layout and recreating that yourself. You can use parts of a layout or directly copy the layout, however you feel. For me I know the ultimate compliment is to have someone scrap lift my layout.

Crafty Meggy on Youtube Created this Layout, I love all the gel tones in the papers she used. This layout is just so much fun.
