🎨 Design Team Inspiration: Simple Stencil & Ink Background

Hello Scrapbookers!!! Crafty Meggy here with another beautiful design team project to share with you.

Today’s inspiration is a clean and creative layout that shows how simple techniques can still make a big impact! Watch the process video here.

Our design team member, Shannon, used a stencil with ink to create a soft, patterned background that adds just the right amount of interest without overwhelming the page. The subtle ink blending through the stencil gives the layout texture and movement while keeping everything light and cohesive.

From there, she layered in embellishments and patterned papers to build her design. The added details bring dimension and help guide the eye across the page, creating a balanced and polished look.

The combination of a simple background and thoughtfully placed embellishments makes this layout feel both easy and elevated at the same time.

✨ Why This Project Inspires

• Stencil + ink: Quick and easy way to add pattern
• Soft background: Keeps the focus on the main elements
• Kit embellishments: Add detail and dimension
• Clean design: Simple but impactful

I love how this layout proves that you don’t need a lot of techniques to create something beautiful—sometimes simple really is best.

🎨 Try This Technique

If you want to recreate this look, choose a stencil and lightly blend ink over your background. Keep it soft and build color gradually.

Then add your photos and embellishments from your kit to complete the design.
