Hello everyone! This is Katty and I hope you’re all having a great hump day! I made a layout to share with you today based on my style of scrapbooking.
I was super inspired by the Pinks and greys in this weeks mood board. I immediately thought of this Authentique Patterned paper. I love the beautiful gradient. I was a bit hesitant to use these photos because my brother is in them but in the end I was ok with it. After all I’m documenting the love between my brother and niece. I loved this cut file from The Cut Shoppe and I knew I wanted to use it as well. This was so fun to create. I love the loose grid style and the big bold tittle I created.

Happy Art Party Friday! This is Katty and I am going to share a mixed media scrapbook layout I made for today.
I love the pastel colors in this weeks inspiration board. They really stood out to me and I knew I had to incorporate those colors in my layout. I pulled out a new stamp/stencil set by Dina Wakely that I hadn’t used and created my background with it and some watercolors. I am scrapping a photo of me and my niece. I printed it in black and white so that the colors would really pop. I also added a black title which pops against my background as well. This was a lot of fun to create. I absolutely love how it turned out.

Aloha Crafty Mavens!! The weekend is sadly coming to an end! I love having free time to craft or relax and not have to think about school work, finishing tons of chores and appointments. Sundays are the perfect day to start thinking about the plans for the week ahead though.
“March is such a fun month to plan out. It’s the beginning of my favorite season, Spring. We have St. Patrick’s Day and this year we also have Easter. I loved this weeks inspiration piece. I used the green color only in a lighter shade. I also brought in some yellows and pink which are perfect for spring. I’ve filled in most of my month already. Mainly with crafty commitments. I will fill in other commitments and tasks throughout the month as necessary. If you have seen my Plan with me videos before you’ll know that I don’t use planner stickers. I am using just my stash to decorate my planner. I was even able to use up some spring themed dimensional stickers that have been in my stash for a very long time. This spread was a lot of fun to put together. Thanks for stopping by and make sure you head on over to our You Tube channel to watch today’s video as well as all the awesome videos posted everyday.”- Katty

Hello and happy Friday!! I have an awesome layout to share with you today!! Katty made this adorable layout with inspiration from Paige Evans.
The layout on the left was made by Paige Evans and the one on the right is Katty. They’re both so gorgeous!! I really love the cut out butterflies on Katty’s layout and the rainbow of colors.
About her layout, Katty said, “I love all of the Garden Girls but Paige Evens has always been such an inspiration to me. I absolutely love her style. I attempted to recreate her signature”Cut File backed with Patterned Paper” look with this layout. I love how it turned out. It was such fun to try to recreate a layout that I love so much from such a talented scrapbooker. ”

About her page, Katty said, “I love the different shades of blues in this weeks inspiration piece. I decided to recreate the blues in my photo and add a cool “wave” or “water” effect with some gloss medium. This layout came together really quickly and I really love how it turned out. ”
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
It’s the start of a New Year, Many of us have already so many crafty and scrappy things on our list of things we want to accomplish this year. The New Year leaves us hoping and starting fresh to tackle on this scrappy list!! I hope that this year we can continue to inspire you to create the things you have on that list!!
Today on The Crafty Maven Getaway Katty is up and sharing with us an art inspired piece!!
I always enjoy Katty’s fun and playful approach to adding media to her scrapbook pages and today is no exception.
Here is what Katty had to say about her layout today, “I want to begin by saying Happy New Year to everyone. I hope everyone has a happy prosperous and crafty 2016. What a better way to start off the year than with a New Years Eve layout. This picture was taken last year on New Years Eve. I love combining mixed media and traditional Scrapbooking. It’s always fun for me to create my own background. I love this weeks inspiration piece and I know I wanted to stay in the color scheme from the piece. It definitely reminded me of New Years. I hope you’ll all be inspired to add some mixed media to your layouts.”
