Hello!!! It is Crystal and I am up today on the hunt for some inspiration. Whenever I want to scrap but I don’t have a vision or sometimes I feel that my mojo is a little lacking or even feel overwhelmed by my stuff and am not sure where to start. I head to the computer or my phone. There are so many places online to get inspiration. YouTube, FaceBook, Blogs, Scrapbook Company websites. But to be honest my favorite is Pinterest. I think that sometimes I am just a professional Pinner. I pin things because I love them and think they are beautiful. So why not Scraplift the beauty that is Pinned.
That is exactly what I am doing today. I found this layout made by Vicki Parker who is on the Hip Kit Club Design Team. I love the paper layers and the florals under the photo. It felt like the perfect layout for one of my Mexico photos.

With this inspiration I was off to find my products. I chose papers from the Crate Paper Wild Heart Collection. I did want to do some mixed media in the background as well. I chose some Shimmerz products (Jilted Jade and Moulin Rouge). I used the simple technique of packaging and splatters. I was impatient so I did you my heat gun to dry it before continuing.
Originally I wasn’t going to tear the paper on the top and bottom but my bestie Amber reminded me that is what gives it extra texture and dimension. So tearing I did. I loved the florals around the photo but since we were in Mexico I decided to embrace the leaves.

I would love to see your take on this scraplift.
There is also a process video up on The Crafty Maven Getaway YouTube channel.
Remember to wear your crown.
