You Are Enough – Art Journal Page

Hello fellow Crafty Mavens,

You can watch the full process video of this page coming together here

I had so much fun with this months inspiration piece. I totally love the purple, red and blue tones!! I also manged to included some yellow and stamped/drew some circular elements too.

CMG Feb

To start with I took my Distress Oxide inks and smooshed three colours onto my pre- gessoed page. I didn’t want the whole page covered in colour so I love how the wrinkles in the paper prevented the ink colouring the page where the dips occurred.

Once I had my background sorted I flipped through a Daphne’s Diary magazine to find a page with colours I thought would work well as leaves/branches. I grabbed a die from my stash and cut a whole stack out. I wanted these to represent leaf litter on a forest floor.

I think I cut the girls from a old Frankie magazine sometime ago and had them in my stash just waiting for the right page to come along. I placed the figures on the leaves holding hands as if standing strong together.

I finished with lots of outlining, shading and white highlights to add details.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you pop on over to watch the process video.

Happy Day-Stash It!

Hi all!  It’s Tuesdae here with another Stash It layout for you that combines the old with the somewhat new….lol!  I decided to dig in a little bit to my older stash and found this lovely set of papers and pull aparts by Crate Paper called “Pretty Paper”.  I believe it is from 2011.  Now that’s a throw back!

I love the buttery and soft vintage feel of this collection.  It’s not often you get to make a layout for a grown man’s birthday using a vintage line that appears to have been made for little girls, but I managed to pull it off.

As you can see, I did add a ton of ephemera around the photo using a mix of products from Dear Lizzy Saturday, that Crate Paper Pretty Party line, some Paige Evans Turn the Page and some stickers from Vicki Boutins original collection.  Most of these items where in my “Empty Box” that I have been working on for several months now.  I just know I can get to the end of it by the end of March.   ***fingers crossed****

Here is the final product!  I just love how this turned out.  It was quick, simple, and used a lot of goodies from my stash!  If you would like to see the process video, it’s available on February 12, 2019 on the Crafty Maven Channel.  You can find it here

I hope you enjoy and find inspiration in using your stash!  Happy Scrapping!
