Hello Crafty Mavens! Today we have Tina Gale with Sketch it out Thursday.
Today I’m working with a sketch from Creative Scrappers and showing how to change it up to make it your own. I used a cut file from the Artistry Cricut cartridge and did some watercoloring to make up the background. Using a 6×6 Pink Paislee Fancy Free paper pad to back the cut file and the Fancy Free ephemera to finish it off. -Tina

Aloha Crafty Mavens!! It’s inching closer to the weekend, and let me tell you I am so looking forward to the weekend. This has been a long week.

Today Melissa Vining is making a page on The Crafty Maven Getaway. She is using a sketch by Laura Whitaker. It is a take on a grid design.
“For Sketch it Up Thursday (4th). I was inspired by the colours in the moodboard, and immediately thought of Pink Paislee “Cedar Lane”. I’ve used my November Clique Kit. I love Laura Whitaker’s sketches, and loved the patchwork look of this one to be able to feature beautful papers – my most favorite product!!! This is my last layout, I’ve had an absolute blessed time being here, will miss you all, and am looking forward to being inspired by the new DT. See you all in Youtube and Social media land. Aloha Scrappers!! I hope you all have been having a great week!! I can’t believe it’s Thursday already. I feel like I have barely gotten anything done this week. Though I imagine if I added all the little things up they would be a lot of things!!
Today on The Crafty Maven Getaway TinaGale and Kelly Barron are sharing their take a a sketch.
This is what TinaGale said about this layout, “I loved the inspiration piece for this week and the sketch but I struggled from the get go. I redid it 3 times until I was happy. I love this photo of my son with his black eye so I wanted to love the layout. He’s always gone 100 mph and at a year and half he suffered a black eye or two because of it. He’s definitely my cheeky little monkey. I used the Cocoa Vanilla Made of Awesome line. Hopefully through my struggled I can show it’s ok to sometimes start over.”
Kelly Barron also made a wonderful Layout today on the channel. Kelly choose to use a sketch from Citrus Twist from August 30th. (Below is a photo of the sketch and if you press if it will link you to where to find it!) I love how the new Amy Tangerine’s Finders Keepers Line matches really nicely with the mood board. I also appreciate who real Kelly is for making a layout about a broken phone, or just plain crappy life. Life isn’t always perfect and sometimes that shows in our albums. I love how Kelly showed us a fun way to add these crappy moments in our albums. BY being sarcastic Kelly could down play the crappy moment but also remember it.

We are working hard on a few new things to help make the channel, including cleaning up the intro image when you are starting a video!! I am getting excited to share everything we are doing but not all is ready yet. But keep on the look out!!
Aloha Crafty Mavens!! It is a nice sunny Hawaiian day today!! A nice breeze blowing makes the still hot and humid temps not feel so bad. As much of the country and world starts to think about fall and cooler weather, I look forward to seeing all those things in everyone’s photos!! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year!! One thing I love about the inspiration piece this week is how it has elements of the Autumn but with bright colors, like it’s summer still trying to hold on. Kind of how Autumn feels here in Hawaii!

This sketch is really fun with lots of room to make it your own but enough direction to leave it be as well!! I love when sketches have both these aspects!!

I love all the color and fun elements she added on her page!! I love how she changed up the sketch a little with the circle being smaller!! This layout really reflects the tone of her picture too.

I love all the sketching DeAnna has on her layout!! It really adds some fun to match the fun colors!! I love how use used black patterns on her layout to to help ground all the color she used!! This layout is also so fun!!

Aloha Scrappers!!! It’s Twerk It Thursday!! I promise that no actual twerking is involved on this day, unless you want too! I don’t know about you but I love to incorporate sketches in my albums. They are a great way to make my pages a little different then the normal styles I stick to when scrapping without one.
Today both Nicole and Katty are going to be using the same sketch. I love when the ladies use the same sketch. I love seeing how how different people with different styles see a sketch and turn it into them, or their style.
Here is a look at the sketch that the ladies are using today, from sketch-n-scrap designed by Lisa Hidy. This sketch is a really fun sketch! I love how it gives room for lots of layers!
Nicole Mackin, did a lovely job! I love that wood veneer for the title. I love how she used a big tag for a layer. The colors she used! Katty (who is on the design team over at the sketch-n-scrap website) did an amazing job with this sketch as well. I love how the bright colors pops on that dark cardstock.
