My layout for 10/20 Sketch It Out Thursday using a sketch from The ScrapRoom and Echo Park I love Family collection. I wanted to do something fun for the circle so I found this fabulous wheat and leaf wreath on the Flower Market cartridge. I cut and backed it then stitched with some gold thread. It was a perfect backdrop for the rest of my elements.-Tina Gale-

I have been using a tons of sketches lately. They are such a nice way to start a layout especially if you don’t know where to begin. This layout is a little different from my normal and I really like that. I used this apple paper from Shimelle’s new line Go Now Go. This layout is about a diner that I go to whenever I am in town back home. They have a best apple pancakes. I compare all other pancakes to these. When I was back home in Feb, I went and got some. They didn’t disappoint either. Now I want to document these so I can remember (though I doubt I will forget) how much I love these pancakes. I did lots of layers but a little different from how I normally layer, leaving more of the paper showing. I love that this made me think a little bit outside of my norm. It kinda stretches my scrapbooking brain muscles. I love how I had the guest ticket from Simple Stories and that was perfect to use for my journaling.-Hannah-

I used this sketch from Elle’s Studio for my layout today, but I turned it 90 degrees. I over that I could get 4 photos on a one page layout.
The photos are from a tea at a historic home near me. I thought the Crate Paper and Maggie homes collections were perfect for highlighting them.-Kelly-

Oops! Totally confused and thought I was a doing a Thursday! Despite that everything on the page is from my stash. Really old Doodlebug paper from 2008 (gasp!). The Prima flowers were purchased for my nephew’s wedding album two years ago and I used only a few. The brads are Teresa Collins and those are ages old since I never seem to use brads anymore.
I struggled with how to incorporate the bright green and back and white , but I like the results in the end. The sketch from is Laura Whitaker atscrappinaroundtheclock.blogspot.com. -Kelly-

When I first looked at the inspiration piece for this week, I immediately thought of the Dear Lizzy Documentary collection. I think it was the blue and maroon colors in two of the photos. Then I was excited to see the typed journaling! I typically write my journaling but I have had a typewriter for quite some time and because I don’t have a spot for it, I don’t use it as often as I would like. So I knew for this layout that I would be dusting my typewriter off!
I found a sketch on Pinterest by Ashley Horton that I loved so I put it to work! I grabbed the Documentary collection and a bunch of supplies from my stash that I thought would work. I also used a cut file for hearts that is a free cut from Hip Kits if you sign up on their site.
It was a really fun layout to make and I especially loved using up some of my stash!-Deanna-

I found this fun sketch from lafabrikascrap-leblog.fr. I tried to follow it pretty closely. I made a few small changes like the placement of my tittle but stayed pretty true to the sketch. I love that it calls for a lot of white or open space. It’s something I often struggle with. The Paige Evans Fancy Free collection worked really well with this weeks mood board. I love how it turned out.-Katty-

DeAnnaScraps: I really wanted to try something different with this week’s layout. I loved the part of the inspiration that had the splashes of color in what looked like watercolor paintings. I was inspired by that and decided to do a layout with the infamous packaging and smooshing techniques! It was a lot of fun and it’s not something that I do regularly so felt very new. I did a search on Pinterest for a sketch and came up with the sketch by Creative Scrappers.
