I really loved the colors in the inspiration piece this week, I literally wanted to use all the colors!! And I tried. I used the splatter technique, and toned it down with water and a paint brush. I love this technique, it allows you to get a cool artsy look, without needing to know how to do really difficult art concepts. It is also very forgiving but can turn out beautiful.

I also focused on layers of paper behind the photo. I picked papers that matched with the colors I used on the background. I realized that I used a lot of color on the background so I focused on less colors though. I really thought the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection matched the feeling I was going for, a lighter, airy feeling to the bright and bold inspiration.
