Hi Crafty Maven’s!! I hope your day is going well. It’s really windy here in Idaho so I’m looking forward to spending some time inside in my craft room!! I hope I can get a lot done!

We have two lovely ladies up today for Scraplift Saturday both of whom are lifting the extremely talented Nancy Damiano; first up is Tina lifting this beautiful layout:

“I couldn’t wait to use this paper from the Jen Hadfield Homemade collection with a picture of my daughter starting her WDW internship. The PL cards were a perfect addition to the story I wanted to tell.”

Hello crafty friends!! I am back again today to share a layout thatSarah made for us.

She is a huge Georgia fan so it was no surprise to me that she scrapped a photo of the Georgia bull dog mascot as an ornament she has! I thought that was pretty cute and funny.

Free Flow Wednesday: Banning Lane and Sarah Swann

Aloha Scrappers!! Happy Hump Day! I hope you all are having a productive week!!
Today on The Crafty Maven Getaway Sarah and Banning Lane decided to do something a little different together. They challenged each other to do a recipe challenge as part of the inspiration for their layouts.
Banning Lane said,”It made this layout so easy to put together because most of the choices were already made for me. I really like the way all the little circle elements look against the two big squares my layout.”

Sarah Swann also used the same recipe for her layout. I love how even with the same recipe they both have completely different layouts. I really helps me see how you can change things to fit your own style of scrapbooking.

Oh my goodness, just looking at this amazing food is making me hungry!!

I love how Sarah used lots of colors on her page just like Bobby Flay used on his plates, they really are a work of art!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!!!

We all know what Saturday means; yup it’s scraplift Saturday again… yay!!!! To add to the fun Sarah and Nicole scraplifted each other and this is what they came up with.

“I lifted Nicole’s subject of the peacock and loved how I had so many perfect supplies just sitting in my stash to make this layout.”

Isn’t it just gorgeous; I love peacock’s although sometimes when they follow you around it can get a little scary! 😉

Aloha Scrappers!!

I can’t believe it’s Sunday already. A new week is about to begin. This past week has went way too fast. Even though time goes so fast I am always glad to have my camera handy to capture the little moments I want to remember.

Aloha Scrappers!!

Welcome!!! It’s Saturday and we are Scraplifting on The Crafty Maven Getaway!!

The layout they are using is this one…..

This is layout was posted on the Hey Little Magpie Blog by Rachell Millington. The colors on this layout are so soft and that cat is so cute!!

Froggie 251, or Kelly, is using a picture of her daughter. I love how she added a bit of the purple from the inspiration in her layout. I also love how she used the gold foiled Heidi Swapp PL cards for her layers. The hints of gold in the embellishments match with the PL cards and add to a really pretty softness. This layout looks so good!!

Sarah scrapped a really adorable photo of her daughters and how they love bath time!! The colors in the 6×6 papers she used are amazing!! They really capture the fun of bath time!! I love how the layering turned out, with a tag sticking out and the use of an old tag package. You can watch her process here. Twerk It Thursday: Victoria Marie and Sarah Swann

Aloha Scrappers!! It’s Twerk It Thursday!! Are you in the mood to use a sketch today?!! I am sure I have mentioned this already but I love sketches!! When I started scrapbooking they were a really big help and start to learning what looks good on a page. Now I love them even more because I know I don’t have to stick with every little detail if I don’t want to. They really help when I am feeling crunched for time in my scrap area, but want to get a layout done that looks nice still. They also help when I feel I need help finding more inspiration too.

Today Both ladies on The Crafty Maven Getaway have used a sketch as a starting off point. I love both of these ladies and their style and can’t wait for you to see their style shining through even though they used a sketch. They used a Shimelle sketch from 2013, you you find this sketch and many more on Shimelle’s blog too.

Sarah decided to make a double layout with this sketch. She put a pocket on one side of the double spread to use for ephemera. I love how her layout turned out, it’s gorgeous!!
