Hello all, Cynthia here from NB Pretty Papers back today with a Free Flow Wednesday layout. As always the inspiration piece is gorgeous and there is so much one can pull from it. For this layout I went for a black and white layout with lots of stamping.

Hello everyone. I believe two of us are up today for Free Flow Wednesday so you get a bonus :). For my layout I went back to about 1984 and scrapped a photo of my grandparents while we were on vacation.
I used a Scraptastic Valentines kit from a few years ago to put the page together. I really love kits…takes much of the guess work out of it, but you are still able to make it your own.
I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays and Shimmerz Paints for my background. To prime the page, I used Dina Wakley clear gesso. It is so smooth and I highly recommend it.
For the rest of the layout I layed embellishments from the kit and fussy cut out the slides from a 12×12 piece of paper. I really like how the slides remind me of a time when the photo was taken. Me and my family would look at slides on Friday nights every once in a while when I was a kid.

The buildings in this week’s inspiration piece made me think vertical. I knew this photograph of my grandson going vertical would work well with the building inspiration. I also tried to keep as many of the lines of my layout as vertical as possible. It may not look like I was inspired by the colors of the inspiration piece, but the blue color in my grandsons pajamas matched the blues in one of the photographs. I would love to hear about how you interpret “going vertical” with your layouts this week. -Kelly-
