Hi! Khristina here with a super exciting new addition to The Crafty Maven Getaway in 2018. Each month, we are going to have a mood board to work with throughout the month. Hannah and I were talking and thought that it might be fun to share with you a homemade stash kit that coordinates the mood board and talk a bit about how and why each piece was selected. Then, on Sundays throughout the month, I am going to be back with process videos showing you what I create with that month’s kit. It gives you an extra special sneak peek into how my brain works to put together kits like those that you might have seen from The Secret Not Secret Kit Club.

Here is our January mood board and the source of the inspiration for this kit.

Using that piece as the inspiration, I pulled together several different patterned papers from my stash. After the paper selection, I chose alphabets as well as some stamps and all of my embellishments for the kit. I wanted to make sure that I included enough different colors and elements that I wouldn’t get bored with my kit throughout the month.
