In Your Pocket Tuesday: (May 31) Allison Jensen Crafts

Hello Crafty Maven’s! Allison here today with your weekly pocket page spread for you.
For this spread I took a ton of inspiration from the inspiration piece. I love that it seemed to be birthday themed because the week I was documenting was my son’s first birthday! I also used the colours from the piece; the pinks, blues, and a small bit of yellow! I loved that there were tassels and banners in the piece because I had an excuse to use them in my layout as well! I also took the idea of the water colour palette and used lots of cards with water colour designs and I included a cake too!

Art Party Friday: (May 27) Mari Clarke

Hello and HAPPY Friday!! In the US we get a 3 day weekend today, which is always fun and exciting!! I hope everyone gets some time to scrapbook!!

Today we have Mari up on the channel with a gorgeous mixed media art journal page. It’s been a while since we’ve had a design team member do an art journal page so I was excited to see that’s what Mari chose to do.

“In this art journal process, I explain what art journaling means to me and why I love to do it. I am journaling in my large Dylusions journal, and have used Dylusion paints, Gelatos, Neocolors, and other miscellaneous products. The theme of the project is “open your eyes to see people for who they really are.” I hope you enjoy watching this simple process.” -Mari

Here’s a photo and the video below of her project:

Kelly said about her layout, “I don’t do much mixed media work & thought I’d show you how you can create a simple mixed media background. The mood board influenced my photo choice and the gumdrops became my polka dots.

I love how she was inspired by the gum drops in the inspiration piece!! Isn’t it so fun to see how we all take inspiration from the same piece?!!

Here’s her video below and you can find more from Kelly on her YouTube channel here.

In Your Pocket Tuesday: (May 24) Banning Lane

Hello Crafty Mavens! Dannielle here today with you and I’m excited to share my spread.

When I sat down to work on my week 20 of Project Life®, the first thing I did was look at this weeks inspiration piece. I saw the pink flower and I knew instantly what cards I was going to use. I had a pink and green cards from my current Felicity Jane kit that reminded me so much of that flower. I was even more happy when I saw how well they went with my photos this week. It was just meant to be!! This spread came together really quick, and I love the way it turned out.

I try to approach each week of project life by documenting what things in my life are the same, and what things are different. I think it helps to tell a more complete story. Be sure to check out my process video to see how this layout came together!

Here is Meggy’s video:

For this layout I was really inspired by the colors of the moodboard, I mean who isn’t?!! Blues and greens are two of my favorite colors to scrapbook with, especially since I have boys. I used this photo of my nephew becase his shirt color actually fit right in with the moodboard colors. I was also inspired by the image of thread spools in the mood board and had to include some in my layout in a few different places. I’m really happy with how this layout turned out! I hope you’ll enjoy the process video! – Megan
