SCRAPLIFT SATURDAY: SHARI LEONARD AND BANNING LANE

HAPPY HALLOWEEN *mwhahahahhaa* <— that’s my attempt at a scary laugh

We have two stunning Halloween themed scraplift projects for you today first up is Banning Lane:

“I decided to scrap lift a layout by Suse Fish from Faith Hope & Washi. She is amazing and I always love her style so that choice was a no brainer. Since it is Halloween I decided to use Halloween colors instead of the bright and cheery colors that Suse used. I’ll admit that my hand stitched title took much longer than I wanted, and at one point I thought about giving up. I am glad that I didn’t!”

I’m glad she didn’t too, otherwise we wouldn’t have been given the opportunity to not only enjoy the layout but get to see her process too. Thanks Banning 🙂

danielle

You can see more of Banning on her personal channel here and here’s her process video:

Next up we have the equally talented Shari Leonard who is making her debut on our channel – yay Shari 🙂 she’s opted to scraplift the mood board and made a shadow box; now how cool is that?

You can hear all about it in her process video here:

And here are a few close up images:

I don’t know about you, but the week of Halloween is always a bit crazy with all the trunk or treats my kids want to go to and the fact that my oldest sons birthday is 6 days before Halloween too. It means a LOT of sweet treats all in the matter of one week. YIKES! Haha

Anyway, today I have 2 awesome layouts to share with you. The sketch they used:

Here’s what Katty says’ about her layout, ” Sketch it out Thursday 10/29- I decided to use the Halloween Mood Board for my layout. I just love Halloween and I still have some old Halloween photos to scrap of when my boys were smaller. I miss picking out their costumes. I was very happy to use up older Halloween products that I have in my stash to create this simple layout.

I love all the great Halloween layouts I’ve been seeing everyone making! For some reason I’m just not in the mood to scrap Halloween this year. Oh, well, maybe next year.

Next up we have Marianne.

IN YOUR POCKET TUESDAY: JEN STOKES

Hello everyone!

Today we have the delightful Jen Stokes up with a PL page for In Your Pocket Tuesday with some great ideas if you’re pushed for time; here’s what she had to say:

“A simple summer PL spread as I work on catching up after a busy summer and even busier fall once the kids started at school. I used the 3×4 card on the date card to help me quickly pick out all the other cards and colours for the spread. I find using that trick for both PL and regular scrapbook spreads really help make decisions fast so you can get down to scrapping.”

I LOVE halloween! It’s just so much fun!

Anyway, let’s move onto DeAnna’s CUTE project!! Today, she is sharing some cute little cards she made up.

Deanna

DeAnna said about her project, “I have been working on my card making lately and being a part of the Mix It Up Monday posting gave me the opportunity to play around! I chose to use the inspiration around me and went with an autumn color scheme and theme. Using the Lawn Fawn snow globe dies, I created thank you cards with leaves cut from my silhouette. This was really fun and I can’t wait to find more ways to use that die set!

You can find her video below and her personal YouTube channel here.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great scrappy week!

Aloha Scrappers!! I hope you are excited about Art Party Friday today!! I love that Friday means the weekend is close, but that my favorite Crafty Maven day is here.  Mari is on today creating something amazing!!

I love Mari’s whimsy art journal page today. All the texture in her page is amazing. It’s like Autumn on paper. The Fox is so darling too. I love how Mari added pattern paper to her art journal page, and it looks flawless, like is is just suppose to be there. I also the the quote on the strips of paper. The typewriter font is so fun!!

Sketch It Out Thursday: Scrappy Jem & Crafty Meggy

Hello crafty friends! I am back today to share with you two layouts! I actually have a funny story about this weeks sketch challenge. Jenn and I had decided to do the same sketch together. I am in love with sketched and have a ton of them on a board on pinterest, so I went to my board and picked out a few. I messaged them to Jenn and she picked one out. I completely thought she picked the one below. This is the one I made my layout using (clicked the link to go to the pin):

jenn&Megsketchchallenge10.22.15

The actual sketch that Jenn used is this one:

sketchJennK

This is the layout she made. I LOVE the colors and background paper she used! The picture is just gorgeous too!

scrappyjem

Jenn says about her layout, “For this layout I started with a sketch and the background paper and it just went from there! I love the ability to use fall colors and fall products for a “non-fall” layout. This page came together so quickly and it was all because the products worked so well together.

You can watch her process video on the Crafty Maven YouTube channel below and you can find her personal channel here.

This is the layout I made with the first sketch and the colors were inspired by the mood board for this week. I really loved this photo of my oldest son. It just makes me smile and remember how happy and loving he was at this young age, he was 4 at the time, now he’s almost 11. How time flies and it’s hard to watch them grow up, but also so fun.

Free Flow Wednesday: Crafty Meggy And Alicia Jinhee

Aloha Crafty Mavens!! Happ Hump Day!! I hope you have been enjoying all the inspiration this week!! I look forward to watching the Crafty Maven Getaway channel everyday.  This group of ladies are always raising the bar!! I feel like we are trying to help each other become better scrapbookers and crafters! I hope they have been challenging you to become a better crafter too in your own style.

That is one of the things I love about this community, we all have different styles and can share them and grow from each other. Even when we don’t scrap in the same style.

Today on The Crafty Maven Getaway, Crafty Meggy is going to be sharing a layout for you. I love her clean designs. I always feel like I am learning something new when I see her layouts.

Here is what Megan had to say about making this layout. “Even though it’s full blown Autumn/Fall I wasn’t really in the mood to scrapbook it. Haha, I don’t know why! But I had these cute photos of my 2 older boys reading a book and I felt moved to scrapbook them. I got my inspiration for the placement of them from the grid of the inspiration piece, but then I kind of just put it all together how I felt in the end.

I used the October Clique Kits that features the PinkFresh Studio Happy things collection. I am in LOVE with this collection! It’s so fun and whimsical, which really doesn’t represent fall, so I hope you will forgive more completely going away from the inspiration this time!”

Here is Megan’s layout for today.

Also on the channel today is Alicia Jinhee. I love her artistic style. Her love for scrapbooking often has me itching to get right to my desk while I watch her videos!!

I love the way Alicia captured the light in her picture!! this woodgrain as a background is perfect for Autumn too.

Here is a look at her layout.
