Hello Crafty Mavens! How are you on this wonderful weekend morning?!! I hope well and ready to embrace the day with some crafty inspiration! I have two wonderful ladies sharing their creative process with us today.

These ladies chose to scraplift a layout made by Melanie Blackburn:

Don’t you just love it?!! There are so many things I love about it! the ‘OH MY…” stamp has to be my fave though! I love the hand cut ‘TOOTH’ title too. And the texture with the sewing on the top and bottom pattern papers. Great layout!

Lina also made a layout for us today with the new Wonder collection by Crate Paper. Let me tell you, every time I see a new layout with this collection it just makes me want it so much more!!

Scraplift Saturday: Kelly Barron and Hannah Lemieux

Aloha Scrappers, another week on The Crafty Maven Getaway is coming to a close. I hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend with Family, Friends and crafting!!

Today on The Crafty Maven Getaway Kelly Barron and I (Hannah Lemieux) are scrap lifting each other. There are so many ways to scrap lift. Concept, color, techniques, design or taking the layout and copying it. There are many reasons why you may want to do all of these things.

I know when I scrap lift I tend to scrap lift the spirit of the original layout maker, and use it as a starting off point to insert myself into the scrap lift. I also like to challenge myself to step outside of my style and do something that I don’t typically do. That is how I tackled this scrap lift. I looked through Kelly Barron’s layouts and tried to see a theme and style so I could use that as a starting off point. Kelly is so talented it was really hard to pick one layout to choose just one. I really wanted to keep my layout simple. I feel like I accomplished that with my layout. You can check out my process video for the channel here. Kelly Barron also went through my layouts on Pinterest and picked one to scrap lift. She also thought overall things I did on layouts when she went to sit down and scrap. Kelly used the theme of tropical when she made her layout, scrapping a fun tropical drink. It really tied in well with the inspiration piece for this week. She also used lots of patterned papers on her layout!! Kelly is so talented and it was really fun to see how she interpreted my style onto a page mixed with her style. This is Kelly’s first video on the channel and I am glad she has joined the line up. Her classic style is so inspiring. Scraplift Saturday: Banning Lane and Crafty Meggy

Hey Scrappers!! It’s Saturday and Banning Lane and Crafty Meggy are scrap lifting today!!

This is the lovely layout they were scrap lifting from Shawn Stiles Lars from the Scrapaholics Anonymous Facebook group started by Inkie Quill. Gorgeous Layout. The ladies did an amazing job adding their own twist and personal style into their layouts too!!

Here is Crafty Meggy’s layout, I love the scrabble tile letters for the title!! It is such a fun twist and add such a cool texture and dimension to the layout!!

Banning Lane, tackled the same original layout also. I love the small touches Dannielle added to her layout. Like the tiny staples on the ripped pieces of cardstock. I love how her clean style shines even with her using distressed elements!!

Aloha Crafters!!

It’s Saturday, hopefully for you, you get to relax, spend time with family and have a nice time doing fun things. Here in Hawaii we are nearing the end of summer vacation, so I am hoping to enjoy the last of these lazy summer weekends!! Hopefully whether it’s hot or cold where you are you can enjoy yourself this weekend!!

Happy Saturday Scrappers!!!

Today we have another double dose of scrappy goodness!! Both Ladies are scrap lifting!! Which is looking at an already completed layout and recreating that yourself. You can use parts of a layout or directly copy the layout, however you feel. For me I know the ultimate compliment is to have someone scrap lift my layout.

Crafty Meggy on Youtube Created this Layout, I love all the gel tones in the papers she used. This layout is just so much fun.
