I love Stash It Monday! It definitely encourages me to dig deep into my stash. This layout is no exception. I grabbed my October Afternoon paper folder and found a really fun combination of papers to highlight this photo.

I used the green background paper and embellishments to bring out the green in the garden that they are planting. The cloud paper represents their day outdoors.

You would probably miss this unless you knew the story, but they planted strawberries on this day which gave me a great excuse to use the strawberry journaling card and puffy stickers that were languishing in my stash.

I loved October Afternoon and am so glad that I was able to get these papers on a page and into my scrapbooks. Now it’s your turn. Grab some October Afternoon (or your favorite defunct manufacturer) and create a layout, so that you can preserve it forever in your scrapbook.
