I love this page!! All the overlapping textures on the background!! All the Leaves!! And I love that hair, it definitely reminds me of the inspiration piece!! Twerk It Thursday: Nicole Mackin and Katty Miranda

Aloha Scrappers!!! It’s Twerk It Thursday!! I promise that no actual twerking is involved on this day, unless you want too! I don’t know about you but I love to incorporate sketches in my albums. They are a great way to make my pages a little different then the normal styles I stick to when scrapping without one.

Today both Nicole and Katty are going to be using the same sketch. I love when the ladies use the same sketch. I love seeing how how different people with different styles see a sketch and turn it into them, or their style.

Here is a look at the sketch that the ladies are using today, from sketch-n-scrap designed by Lisa Hidy. This sketch is a really fun sketch! I love how it gives room for lots of layers!

Nicole Mackin, did a lovely job! I love that wood veneer for the title. I love how she used a big tag for a layer. The colors she used! Katty (who is on the design team over at the sketch-n-scrap website) did an amazing job with this sketch as well. I love how the bright colors pops on that dark cardstock. In Your Pocket Tuesday: Froggie 251

Aloha Crafty Mavens!! For all my American Friends or Friends that celebrated Labor Day this weekend, I hope you have had a chance relax and recoup from the long weekend. It so feels like a Monday today but I guess when the weekend comes quicker I will be happy to have one less day in the work week.

Today on The Crafty Maven Getaway Kelly or Froggie 251, has posted a pocket page spread for us. I love all the soft colors she used on her spread!! And the title card with those flowers, is just gorgeous!!

I like how Kelly uses the Collect App for her photos, it allows you to collage your photos, but also add journaling under the picture. This helps giving you extra journaling space if you need it. You can learn about the Collect app here.

Spotlight Sunday: Maggie Mylow

Aloha Crafty Mavens!! It’s already Sunday, where did the weekend go?! I am glad we have an extra day off this weekend because I definitely haven’t gotten enough scrapping in as I would have like too. Today we are planning on going out as a family! I hope you are enjoying time with your friends and family this weekend too!!

It is Spotlight time on The Crafty Maven Getaway!! As we go along, this really is becoming my favorite day! Today we are getting to know Maggie Mylow, or Lisa. Lisa shows us where she lives, and talks about how much she loves it there. She also shares with us her family!

She shows us here craft room and shares lots of things she has created. I loved looking at all Lisa’s layouts and art journal pages. She is so talented!! And I love how she has embraced the things so loves and making that her style!

Scraplift Saturday: M. Barone and Rachel Reynolds

Aloha Scrappers!! Happy Saturday!! This weekend is a fun and busy one in the United States, since we celebrate Labor Day on Monday! It’s like one last chance to bbq and enjoy the summer, now that fall time is right around the corner. In Hawaii it doesn’t quite feel like the fall but with I am hoping this fall is sunnier than this summer, we have been hit with tons of rain, my town had 10 inches just from last month. I am welcoming the cooler weather though!

On to what’s on the Channel today!! Today both Rachel Reynolds and M, Barone are scrap lifting!!

Marianne is scraplifting a layout from Nancy Damiano using the Summer Vibes Collection from Simple Stories!! This original layout is fun and colorful while having a lot of white space. Here is a look at that layout, you can find it posted on the Pinterest board for Simple Stories or their blog.

Marianne’s Layout is just as fun!! I love all the embellishments see used on her layout!! Perfect for a summer, pool picture!! I love how she showed us that even though she followed the scrap lift really close, your pictures and stories really does help make the layout your own. Small things like adding washi tape under the embellishments added a personal touch and I love the way that looks!! You can see Marianne’s layout on The Crafty Maven Getaway here. Rachel Reynolds is scraplifting a layout from Pinterest, from Christine Irion. It’s a gorgeous layout, that really makes me feel Fall is on it’s way. Just looking at the original layout I can smell the crisp leaves, taste that tart and sweet cider, and feel the nip in the clear air. Here is a look at the original.

Rachel’s layout is using the Simple Stories I Am Collection. I love how bright and cheerful the papers reflect the tone of the layout! I love the layers sticking out behind the photos and journaling card! And The Title is so fun!! Rachel did an excellent job with this layout!! Here is it is!!

Twerk It Thursday: Tanya Hubbard and Dani Brown

Aloha Scrappers!! I hope you are all doing well today! I am hoping that this afternoon to get in my craft room for some much deserved craft time.

Thanks for joining us at The Crafty Maven Getaway today!! Today the ladies decided to use a sketch by Angie Gutshall, here is the blog she had the sketch posted. Here is what the sketch looks like too.

I love Tanya Hubbard’s layout!! The way she used paper layers and stitching as her circle element turned out fantastic!! I love that she injected so much color into her layout!! That quote is so amazing!! Her is a look at her Layout!

Dani Brown’s layout also turned out just as amazing!! I love how she really did an awesome job reflecting on the week’s inspiration pice and the sketch. It can often be difficult to mesh together! Free Flow Wednesday: Kelly Barron and Nicole Jones

Aloha Scrappers!! Is your week going as fast as mine? I can’t believe it is Wednesday already!I hope that no matter your week is going fast or super slow, you are enjoying it!!

Today it is Free Flow Wednesday on The Crafty Maven Getaway!! I love this day! I love seeing the scrappers who post this day, in their style, doing their thing!! Which leads to another exciting thing, on the channel today!! We have a Youtuber to add to The Crafty Maven Getaway line up!!

Nicole Jones is posting her first layout for the Channel. I absolutely adore Nicole and was so excited when I started talking to her about doing something for the channel!! Nicole has done so much for this online community and scrappers!! I know her style would be perfect to showcase on Free Flow Wednesday!! This layout for today is amazing!! I love the hand drawn heart on the layout, it adds that perfect touch to make it her own!! And the picture is so cool! It is neat that the inside of the heart matches the turtle’s shell!!
