Happy Saturday Scrappers!!!

Today we have another double dose of scrappy goodness!! Both Ladies are scrap lifting!! Which is looking at an already completed layout and recreating that yourself. You can use parts of a layout or directly copy the layout, however you feel. For me I know the ultimate compliment is to have someone scrap lift my layout.

Crafty Meggy on Youtube Created this Layout, I love all the gel tones in the papers she used. This layout is just so much fun.

Twerk It Thursday is all about tweaking a sketch and making it your own. I find every scrapbooker does this different. I love to see how different people interpret a sketch on to paper.

Happy Hump Day!! Yay for being half way through the work week. Today We have a double treat. We have two amazing Youtubers posting!!

Spotlight Sunday: Hannah Lemieux

The first day has actually come!! I am so thrilled to be working with such an amazing and talented group of ladies, who have inspired me since I have been scrapping!!

For the first Spotlight Sunday, we are featuring me, Hannah Lemieux. In this first spotlight video, I mention all the ways you can find The Crafty Maven Getaway channel on social media. I also mention where you can find my channel on Youtube.

I started my Youtube channel in August last year after being inspired by so many Youtubers like Oh Snap Gonzo (Sandra), Maggie Mylow (Lisa), and Meaghan Rizzo. I really wanted to give back a little because I had been so inspired by so many, even if that was reaching a couple people. By starting my channel I have gained so much more than just knowing I helped inspire someone to pick up a piece of patterned paper and use it, though that really is an amazing part, I have gained amazing friends from all over the world, been inspired by all my viewers to create more, and so much more.

My style of scrapbooking is definitely on the artsy side, I love color and paint. There is something fun and releasing when you drag paint across that blank card stock.

Something a little special

Here in the United States we are celebrating Independence Day today. Many of us are lighting our grills, preparing yummy food, sipping on lemonade, and getting ready to see a fantastic firework display. These small and fun things help us remember and celebrate all the hard obstacles our forefathers had to overcome to make this a better place for us. I hope all my fellow American Crafters have a great day surrounded by family and friends!!

To help wet your appetite for scrappy goodness, Megan has put together a slideshow of some layouts created this month by just some of the Youtubers who will be posting on the channel. I think we have around 30 or so youtubers posting in July and August, so it is going to be epic!! There are even more Youtubers joining us in the following months too!!

Getting Excited!!

July is finally here and the YouTubers involved in The Crafty Maven Getaway YouTube Channel are getting really excited!! We have been getting our inspiration picked out, picking out sketches or layouts to lift, coming up with a title image!! We can hardly wait. The wait isn’t really too much longer either!! I hope you are making a wishlist of your favorite YouTubers and pulling out your trimmers and adhesive to scrap along with us!!

I thought it would be fun to give you a sneak peak at the inspiration pieces we are using for our first week at The Crafty Maven Getaway YouTube channel. Hopefully this will help get you in the mood to scrap and play with your crafty stuff along with us!!
