Sketch it Out Thursday:(Dec 29) Kelly Oblak

Hello Crafty Mavens! Today we have Kelly Oblak with Sketch it out Thursday!

I loved the inspiration piece for this week and this sketch from Let’s Get Sketchy. I decided to scrap a silly Christmas photo of my grandson.

The colors from the inspiration piece were so bright and fun. I chose the turquoise, red and acid green to create my layout. All the papers were Christmas papers except for the green which was actually from a summer collection!

The hearts on the inspiration pieceinspired the acrylic hearts on my page. I also lifted the word art and used it for the title of my page.

It all combined to help me create a page that I absolutely love because it perfectly captures the fun and silliness of the photo.-Kelly-

In Your Pocket Tuesday:(Dec 27) Froggie251

Hello Crafty Mavens! I hope you are all having a great day! Today we have froggie251 with in your pocket Tuesday!

For this layout I worked on my December Daily album and used a 6×8 page protector with 2, 4×6 pockets. I am using the Ali Edwards 2015 kit and Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa line for my entire album. Fr this page I used Snow and Cocoa paper from the 6×6 paper pad and some die-cuts from the collection as well. The badge is from Michaels and the rubber banner and star are both from Ali Edwards. The photos are from a Birthday party my daughter went to with two of her friends. For the most part I kept this page simple as I am trying to do with the entire album.-Froggie251-

Free Flow Wednesday:(Dec 21) Deanna Scraps

Hello Crafty Mavens! Today we have Deanna Scraps with Free Flow Wednesday!

For me, the biggest inspiration was the circles with the chalkboard looking writing. I took this directly from the inspiration piece and was lucky enough to have some paper that mirrored that in the collection I was working in. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this layout until the end. I think the finishing touches – like the left hand corner piece and the black tiny word phrases – really helped complete the layout. Now I love it!-Deanna-

Stash it Monday:(Dec 19) TinaGale

Hello Crafty Mavens! Today we have TinaGale with Stash it Monday!

I don’t often do projects other than layouts but I have these holiday blocks and decided to try and use the MME Comfort & Joy collection from my scrap kit this month to create tags for Christmas. The red glitter paper was a perfect pop to this collection.-TinaGale-

Sketch it Out Thursday:(Dec 15) ColieBing

Hello Crafty Mavens! Today we have ColieBing with Sketch it Out Thursday!

I did a quick google search for double page layouts including a 5×7 sized photos, printed out two that were very similar as far as the photo placements and sort of merged the two during my process. I purposely went for minimal product and a simple layout. This is a common theme I like to use especially when I know the layout is going into a family members album, and not my own. I left the journaling strips blank so that my sister can fill in any information she wants to later on-ColieBing-

Stash it Monday:(Dec 12) Kelly Oblak

Hello Crafty Mavens! Today we have Kelly with stash it Monday!

I loved the colors of the inspiration piece. The soft pink and soft grey had me pulling out my stash of Elle’s Studio to scrap a photo of a boy! Well, my boy cat anyway who was a pretty sick guy recently. He’s just fine now.

The frosting on the cupcakes made me think of ruffles and I dug deep into my stash to find an old piece of Dear Lizzy pink ruffle paper that I still had a few pieces of.

In the end the pink and grey were perfect for a layout about pink medicine and my grey cat.-Kelly-
