Happy Halloween Crafty Mavens! I hope you are all having a great day! Today we have Froggie251 with Stash it Monday!

I was so glad to use items from my stash on this layout as I have lots of Halloween goodies. I love cutesie Halloween emblishments, but for this pages I wanted a more mature look. Unfortunatly, I don’t have a lot of more mature emblishements, so that was a challenge. I was really happy to be able to use that ribbon/metal emblishment. I have had that for quite some time. For the background I used clear gesso and mists from Lindy’s Stamp Gang and Heidi Swapp. The photo is of my daughter at her school’s Trunk or Treat event. She decided this year she wanted to dress up as a “angry bride” or dias de los muertos. However she really didn’t want the skull face, but choose only to wear this bright red lipstick. Honestly, I think she just wanted an excuse to wear make-up (she is 8 going on 15 :D).-Froggie251-

Sunday’s Inspiration Piece Oct 30

Today is the day where I share with you the inspiration piece for the week. I love how each week we can have a look at different images and colors and be inspired. I can’t wait to see what the team makes this week with this piece.

Scraplift Saturday:(Oct 29) SciFi Scrapper

Happy Saturday Crafty Mavens! I hope you all had a wonderful Saturday. Here it was a beautiful day out. Today we have SciFi Scrapper with Scraplift Saturday!

I rarely get the oppertunity to scrap Halloween photos, as though it’s growing, it’s still not a huge holiday in the UK. Needless to say that when my brother told me he was dressing up to go to a costume party I made sure to pop round and take some photos!

I used the Halloween mood board for my layout, taking the colours, but also the potion bottles as part of my inspiration. I picked a layout by ScrapsbyJen to scraplift, as I loved her layout, and the ‘half and half’ look the layout had with each side using a different patterned paper.

I had very limited (non-orange) Halloween supplies, so I made do with what I had. My favourite embellishment has to be the ‘bootiful’ frame though. “Bootiful” (or “Boots”) was the nickname we called my brother when he was a little! -SciFi Scrappe-

Happy Friday Crafty Mavens! Today we have Hannah with Art Party Friday!

I have been very inspired by the Autumn layouts with untradtional colors. This mood board was perfect for trying to do that for this Autumn layout. I splattered a piece of white card stock and then used my silhouette sketch pen to draw the shape of the leaves and cut them out. The Moments chipboard letters were a perfect match of the leaves I cut out.-Hannah-

All the aqua in the inspiration piece reminded me of the color of my grandson’s shirt, so I used that as the jumping off point for my layout.

I used lots of older product on this layout including a package of Thickers that was barely touched because the color was hard to work with.-Kelly-
